Microsoft + Yahoo = Pain For Publishers?
There has been many talk about Microsoft acquiring yahoo. It’s weird that this starts to unfold right as i’m getting ready to expend my advertising budget towards Yahoo and MSN. I think right now it might be wise to wait and find out what will happen in the near future. Personally a merger would not beneficiate me. I may be wrong but having more advertising networks to work with can only mean more traffic for me. However i’m not sure what will be of the merger of Microsoft and Yahoo if it does happen. They might devise a way to get more targeted traffic than google? hopefully cheaper? who knows…
I think that now the merger of Yahoo and Microsoft might actually be bad for affiliates.
To further reinforce my opinion here’s an article that i stumbled on today. It discusses implications on the many affiliates running ad units for the Yahoo! Publisher Network and Microsoft Content Ads.
"One aspect of the possible blockbuster deal that has not been adequately examined is the impact on web publishers, in particular the medium and long tail publishers who are almost wholly reliant on ad networks to monetize their ad inventory."

Adsense Arbitrage Experience Continued
Alright i’ve made some changes now. Well I must stress out that i’m still testing right now. Alas the software that i would normally use is still not working for me. I will have to contact the support department to get this issue fixed.
I did a quick keyword research to make sure that my experiment would be at least a bit profitable. The process will be thoroughly explained if the experiment does in fact go well. So far with my new changes i see that my cpc has dramatically reduced since the last experiment. I had put in some very targeted articles each attached to their repectable keywords in adwords. But for the sake of time i decided to populate my keyword list with even more relevant keywords. I currenltly have the content search turned on and i’m debating if i should just keep it on right now or just turn it off. I will report back tomorrow with updates.

I changed the theme of my blog and i must say i’m quite satisfied with it right now. It looks like tit would be easy to customize. I’ve been working on many projects right now and well after a few more work i think i will start just concentrating on one project at a time. I should be more productive that way.
