Couldn’t stay away too long
On my last post i stated that i would take a little break and relax during the holidays. You know what that didn’t happen at all. I think the only way for me really take a break is to be put somewhere where there’s no computer, no magazines and all you can do is have fun. To me having fun is playing sports, be it basketball, football, soccer, volleyball lifting weights and whatever has some sort of social involvement. We also have to make sure i’m a way from my multimedia device the archos 504
that i also like to call my precious. It’s a pretty neat device. It’s basically like an 80 gb portable hard drive with a screen. I store all my music files, movie files, pictures and documents. Now the reason i have to stay from it is well besides the fact that it’s a computer i have all my IM (internet marketing) stuff saved on it. Hours of videos, how to tips, audio lessons, and PDF reports. I’m always reading those wheni’m away from my Pc.
I have done two things so far during my so called “break”.
- I built an adsense content website.
- I setup a membership site.
My Adsense Site
I always kind of have ups and downs when it comes to adsense earnings. The thing is i want to change that and be in more control about it. So what i did i read a case study report called AdsenseArbitrage by a man called Michael Plante, a Keyword Elite user. In this case study he show exactly what he did to earn about $4.515 in adsense commission in a month. Well i want to be able to do that and soon. You see i want the new year to be nothing but cash coming in, plenty of satisfaction and i want to be able to share my newly acquired knowledge with my readers.
Now Michael did a keyword research and targeted a niche that should bring him an earning of $0.60 to $2.00. He got a set of good keywords from Keyword Elite and created a site with articles optimized for those keywords. I didn’t do that and i can’t at this point because i’m not a Keyword Elite member. I do however have a niche that brings me between $1 - $5 a day with just natural search engine traffic. It’s not much and i do want to capitalize on it. I did do a keyword research on wordtracker and pulled the most searched terms regarding that niche. Now i’m not too good with content but i was glad that i have some articles geared toward some of those keywords. I used them on my site and also whenever i needed i needed an article i would jump over to ezinearticles and take some articles from there. Now after all was set and done i uploaded the site which by the way looks great (pat on my shoulder
) and i jumped over to google to start driving some traffic to it. I was hoping to you know spend maybe 10 cents tops per keyword but uh google had another idea and offered me the kind price of $5 to $10 to have my keywords up and running. My goal was to have a certain keyword link straight to an article optimized for that keyword but uh i had no choice but to go back to wordtracker and find some much much less searched keywords. Now i added a list of 27 keywords that cost me between .50 to 1.00 to promote. I also enabled content search in order to get my keywords a little cheaper. That was yesterday Saturday December 29th and i had 531 impressions and 2 clicks. I spent $1.58 and made wait for it, wait for it, lol a whopping —————- $0.00.
Today Sunday i see that all but one of my keywords have been deactivated and i need to spend about $5 to $10.00 to re-activate them. Now i’m sorry google but this means war….
(I’m going on a research frenzy baby google is going down!)

My Membership Site
Ok all this time i kept hearing about PLR this plr (for those of you who don’t know, PLR stands for Private Label Rights) that and how you can make a lot of money with them. I never paid attention to them until i read a report by the Rhodes brothers. I know lol yet another report right! I just love reading those things but anyways i read the report and it was great. It’s about setting up a membership site that is run on an autoresponder. The whole jits of the recipe was this, get an info PLR product and setup a series of mailing or newsletter in your autoresponder and then setup a sales page good enough to attract customers. Once they pay to get in you don’t have to do anything. Just sit back and let the autoresponder do the work. I’m a very lazy person and that does sound like a great plan to make some easy recurring cash.
The report recommended a PLR source and i decided to sign up. Funny the PLR source is also a membership website. Anyways i must say that i wasn’t too happy with the niche they gave me but it came with a sales page and thank you page. That’s always good and oh yeah the bonuses in the membership area are great. Now i had the sales page but the copy wasn’t good so i had to do some work there. Ugh… work.. I don’t know anything about copy writing though. What i did is jump over to clickbank and look at some sales pages. I took some ideas from there and made my own version of a sales page. Once i was done i sent an email to one of the Rhodes brothers and to my PLR source to start a critique session. To my surprise they both loved it. I was advised to add a free offer to entice customers to join my newsletter. I thought i was doing great by just offering a 7 day trial… Now that was yesterday, the site is up and running, i did a quick but not thorough keyword research and pasted them on to my new campaign on google. As of today i have 101 impressions and no one has signed up yet.
To do list
- Review my sales copy
- Make the newsletter free in order to build a list
- Learn how to drive a lot of traffic to the site
- Maybe write some articles
To be continued…
Hopefully i won’t get too lazy
