Update On My Adsense Experiment.

Yes today i finally got around to trying to figure out why my adsense arbitrage experiment is not going as planned. I tried to get information from blogs and forums but i only saw posts from around the years 2006 and early 2007 it seems as though everyone has stopped talking about arbitrage. According to what i read adsense arbitrage is dead. I really don’t think so because what people say about that don’t make sense and if arbitrage is in fact dead i intend to find out myself. It may be costly but we’ll see.

I went to the warrior forum and posted my experiment (The content is pasted below). Hopefully i will get some answers.

Before anybody says or criticize me, let me just announce that this post is for research purposes. I know there are people out there making money with arbitrage. You may not want to admit it or you used to but stopped because you get scacred off (i’ll get to that later).
The why of this post:

I’m a member of hypervre. It’s a software that helps you create adsense sites. I’ve been a member for a while and i never took the whole building adsense sites seriously because i didn’t make much money with it. Now i’m on winter break that means no school, no homework and no studying. I don’t have a stable job and that means that i’m “broke” and i have some free time. I’m trying to use this time to educate myself a little more with IM alltogether.

Now I have a niche blog that generates between $1-5$ per day. I figured i would use that niche to create a seperate site that would link to that blog. Here’s what i did. I opened my trusty wordtracker keyword research tool and got the top searched term in that niche. I then proceeded to creating a site manually with nvu (that was a very tedious and painful process). Now I made a page for each keyword. Each page would then get an article that i have written on the specific keyword or an article i took from ezinearticles. None of the articles were original on the net. They either came from my site(my own content) or ezinearticles.

I then uploaded the site to a separate domain under a subfolder (www.mydomain.com/my adsense site). By the way i’ve gone into more details on my blog(http://zoulstips.com/couldnt-stay-away-too-long/). Sorry i couldn’t seem to figure out an embeded code for the link. Once the site was up i then proceeded to google to start running some PPC traffic.

My keywords were too expensive for me for some reason between $5-$10 to be exact. I’m not sure why i’m not spamming anyone and i do have quality content on the sub site. I went back to wordtracker and got some long tailed keywords. My bids were then between .20 to $1.00 (i took the risk because i know i should make more per click). I also had unfortunately turn on the content option to attract more traffic.
It worked for 2 days then i got hmm.. slapped by the big G. My keywords were deactivated.

If you know why please let me know… I’m trying to figure it out this shouldn’t have happened.

For those of you who are about to tell me Arbitrage is dead well i don’t believe it. There’s no way it can be. I think of arbitrage as a positive cash flow for a marketing balance. Besides big sites like myspace, facebook, ask.com, yahoo and even google themselves use the same tactics. Why whould arbitrage be canceled when it’s basically the same concept as PPC marketing.

I did searched everywhere for help with my problem but all i see is arbitrage is dead you will get banned by google…

I have more to say about this but i think my post is already too lengthy… but if you can help me figure out what’s wrong i will very much appreciate it.”
